Algorfa lies inland in the Vega Baja del Segura, in the south of Alicante province, surrounded by citrus groves and vegetable fields and close to Almoradí, Benijófar and Rojales. The village centre keeps its traditional character, with a square, church and local shops, while newer residential areas have grown up around it.

The best known of these is La Finca Golf, a resort with a golf course, hotel and developments of villas, townhouses and apartments. Other Vega Baja courses, such as La Marquesa in Ciudad Quesada, are a short drive away. For nature lovers, the La Mata and Torrevieja Lagoons Natural Park and the mouth of the Segura at Guardamar are close by, while the Callosa and Orihuela mountain ranges line the horizon to the west.

The climate is Mediterranean with slightly more contrast than on the coast: mild, sunny winters with cooler nights, and hot summers. The beaches of Guardamar and Torrevieja are about 15–20 minutes by car.

Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) is roughly 35–40 minutes away, with frequent flights to the UK and Ireland, and Región de Murcia Airport (RMU, Corvera) about 35–45 minutes – useful if you travel back and forth often.
