Property for sale in Pilar de la Horadada

Pilar de la Horadada is the southernmost municipality in Alicante province, right on the border with the Murcia region. It pairs a proper working Spanish town inland with a stretch of coast where quiet beaches such as Mil Palmeras and Torre de la Horadada sit only minutes from the Mar Menor. Families like it for its year-round services, and holiday-home buyers like it for the short drive from Murcia's Corvera airport. At CasaAqui Costa we show you apartments and houses for sale and help with the NIE, bank account, notary and translations.

Pilar de la Horadada marks the southern end of the Costa Blanca: across the municipal boundary lies San Pedro del Pinatar in the Murcia region. The town centre sits a few kilometres inland, surrounded by farmland, while the coastline is made up of several residential areas and beaches, including Torre de la Horadada, with its old watchtower beside the marina, and Mil Palmeras.

The beaches are mostly sandy with calm water, broken up by small coves and low rocky stretches, which makes them popular with families. Within a few minutes you reach the Mar Menor, with its warm, shallow lagoon, and the salt flats and natural areas around San Pedro del Pinatar. There are also several golf courses in the surrounding area, one of the reasons the town appeals to buyers from the UK and northern Europe.

The climate is among the sunniest in mainland Spain: mild winters, little rain and hot summers eased by the sea breeze.

It is a convenient base for travel. Región de Murcia Airport (RMU, Corvera) is about 25–35 minutes by car and Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) about 45–50 minutes via the AP-7 or N-332. Murcia city is around 40–45 minutes away.

Our current listings are mainly apartments, many in communities with a shared pool close to the beach, alongside townhouses, bungalows and detached villas. Prices change daily and are only a guide: most homes start at around €200,000, the median asking price is roughly €280,000 and the larger houses approach €700,000.

Pilar de la Horadada works well for families who need schools and services all year, retirees who want a quieter coastal town with golf nearby, and anyone who likes having two airports within reach. Tourist letting requires a licence, and the rules depend on the town hall and the community of owners. CasaAqui offers rental management, guest check-in and cleaning if you decide to let your home.
