Plot in Yecla
Yecla lies in the inland north of the Region of Murcia, at around 600 metres above sea level, on a wide plain surrounded by low mountains and fields of vines, almonds and olives. Its vineyards, dominated by the Monastrell grape, give their name to the Yecla designation of origin, and the town has a long industrial history linked to furniture. In the centre, the blue-domed Basilica de la Purísima and the Santuario del Castillo, on the hill overlooking the town, are the best-known landmarks. The surrounding countryside offers hiking routes and natural areas such as the Sierra de Salinas.
The climate is continental Mediterranean: hot, dry summers, cold winters with occasional frosty nights and a big difference between day and night temperatures. In return you get clear skies and lovely spring and autumn weather. Yecla is a proper working town with everything you need: shops, schools, health centres and a hospital.
By car, Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) is a little over an hour away and Region of Murcia Airport (RMU, Corvera) roughly one hour 15 minutes to one and a half hours. The nearest coast is a little over an hour's drive.
Our listings are split almost equally between land and homes: town houses, detached villas and country houses with plots. The median asking price is around €120,000, with rustic plots from a little over ten thousand euros and the occasional estate or unique property above two million. On rustic land, always check the planning status, the legality of any buildings and the water and electricity supply.
Yecla suits families who want a spacious home at a sensible price, people working locally and anyone dreaming of a country house among the vineyards. It is a place for authentic inland Spain rather than a beach resort. CasaAqui Costa helps with your NIE, mortgage, notary and translations, and can advise you if you are considering a rural guesthouse, which requires a licence under regional rules.
