Los Alcázares stretches along the western shore of the Mar Menor between San Javier and Cartagena, on flat land that is perfect for walking and cycling. Across the lagoon you can see the skyline of La Manga. The town beaches have warm water and almost no waves, making them ideal for families with children, older swimmers and water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and paddleboarding.

The climate is among the sunniest in Spain: very mild winters, hot summers and little rain. When rain does come, however, it can be intense – the area has experienced flooding in the past, so we recommend checking the exact location of any property and the official flood-risk maps before you buy.

The location is very convenient. Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU) at Corvera is around 25–30 minutes away, and Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) roughly 55–65 minutes via the AP-7. Cartagena is about 25 minutes and Murcia city 35–40 minutes. Several golf courses are nearby, and everyday services are available in town. Day-to-day living costs are usually lower than in the best-known Costa Blanca resorts.

Los Alcázares suits families, retirees, water-sports and golf enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a home by the water at prices below many other coastal areas. Our listings are mostly houses and townhouses, plus a few apartments. Prices start from around €100,000, the median asking price is about €280,000, and larger houses with gardens or pools approach €600,000.

CasaAqui helps with your NIE, bank account, notary and translations, and can manage your holiday rental once the property is registered for tourist use.
