Torrevieja sits at the southern tip of Alicante province, in the Vega Baja area, roughly halfway between Alicante city and the Mar Menor. The town is framed by two large salt lagoons, Torrevieja and La Mata, which together form a natural park with pine woods, walking and cycling trails and plenty of birdlife, flamingos included. The pink colour of the Torrevieja lagoon is one of the most photographed sights on the coast. On the sea side you will find a long promenade, a marina and a string of town beaches and small coves stretching up to La Mata.

The climate is a big part of the appeal: lots of sunshine, little rain and winters that are mild enough for a walk on the beach in January. That makes Torrevieja work well both as a permanent home and as a holiday base. Supermarkets, health centres, schools, bars and English-speaking services are easy to find, and the international community is large and well established.

Getting here is easy. Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) is about 40–50 minutes by car via the motorway, and Region of Murcia International Airport (RMU, Corvera) is around 45–55 minutes away, both with regular flights to the UK and Ireland.

Most listings are apartments, followed by bungalows, townhouses and detached villas. The median asking price in our portfolio is around €200,000. You will find more affordable apartments in the centre and some outlying areas, while sea-view homes and luxury villas can go well beyond €2 million. The very lowest prices usually belong to garage spaces, storage rooms or commercial units rather than homes.

Torrevieja suits retirees, families and anyone who wants the sea, sunshine and everyday convenience in one place. If you are thinking about holiday lets, bear in mind that a tourist licence is required and rules depend on the town hall and the community of owners. CasaAqui Costa can help you check this before you buy and can also manage your rental for you.
